Chat and Chill Volunteers sharing session 19/2/2022
Hong Kong has been affected by the pandemic these years, and some activities have been postponed or cancelled. In this case, Catering Care organised a zoom meeting to brainstorm some innovate ways to support our community during such period of time, meanwhile chatting and reflecting the activities before.We discussed different topics and shared what we could do for those in need. Put our heads together for society.
Collaboration with Common Core: Student Sharing 11/10/2021
I-Squared: Interdisciplinarity and Impact Student Showcase
The purpose of this event is to showcase interdisciplinary projects undertaken by students through the Common Core Transdisciplinary Undergraduate Research Initiative and the BASC programme to the broader university community. Catering Care was one of the panel members at the event to share our work with students.
University Information Day 30/10/2021
Catering Care have joined the Common Core office to conduct an online live session to share our project with secondary students.
Donation Collection to Refugee Union X Fai Chun Booth 4-9 & 16/2/2021
With the help of our volunteers, we have delivered all the items collected from our booth to Refugee Union. Thank you for your overwhelming response in this event. We would like to express our sincere gratitude to our masks sponsors - Real Care Limited, and @bijashku and @ediblespaceshku for offering storage spaces. Campus Tour for Udeli and Take a Break Staff 28/11/ 2020
Catering Care organised a campus tour for staff from Udeli and Take a Break and it was a great way to connect everyone in the community! Thank you @EdibleSpacesHKU for sharing about growing food in the city, and @BijasHKU for feeding us yummy vegetarian tea.
UDeli and Take a Break are two social enterprise restaurants under Tung Wah which hire disabled people. UDeli is found on HKU campus, while Take a Break is at Aberdeen. Another related social enterprise under Tung Wah include iBakery in Kennedy Town. Some of them have worked there for 15 years.
RISE (Real Impact on Society and Environment) is an international showcase of student achievement in sustainability and social innovation organised by the Universitas 21 (U21) Consortium. It is designed to accelerate the scale and impact of student-led projects by connecting them with a network of experts in academia and industry.
