Church and Restaurants co-launch Food Coupon Scheme to bring vitality in this pandemic.
Q1. 派發食物券的初心是什麼？What is the original impetus of food vouchers？
食物券的idea來自教友和牧師，我們希望善用捐款來回饋中西區街坊。因為疫情和社運原因，不少非連鎖店舖面對不少經濟壓力，我們希望透過食物卷聯繫社區，幫助有需要的人士和小店。
The idea of food vouchers came from our church members and priests. We hope to make good use of donations. In recent years, many merchants were affected by social movements and covid19. We hope to connect the community and help those in need through food vouchers.
Q2. 商戶起初對計劃有甚麼反應？籌辦計劃有遇到甚麼困難嗎？ What are the responses of these merchants, any difficulty in the process?
一些商戶覺得開心，可以幫助區內底層人士。一些商戶有些擔心和憂慮，因為他們從來沒有參加過慈善活動。因此，我們都是不斷探索，不斷改進。
Some of them are happy to help the lower class while some are worried because they have not joined any charity event before. Therefore, we keep exploring and improving the food vouchers project.
Q3. 滿意目前的成績嗎？ Are you satisfied with the result?
我們都滿意目前的成績；但始終有需要的人士太多，我們的食物券計劃其實只是杯水車薪，未能幫助所有有需要的長者。
We are satisfied with the current result, but we also know that our abilities are limited, and cannot help all the elderly in need.
Q4. 未來有什麼計劃？ What’s your future plan?
我們希望可以增加人手和資源 ，在有限的資源下擴展計劃，找到更多合作的商戶，繼續支持小店、惠及更多基層和街坊。
We hope to increase manpower and resources, expand the project with the limited resources, find more merchants and support more shops and people.
Q5. 分享你最喜歡到哪間餐廳用膳 Can you share your favorite restaurant?
我最常光顧的是已結業的便當媽媽。它是我們其中一個合作商戶，但由於它的位置較為不方便，不少長者和市民都很少前往光顧。但可惜由於不敵經濟壓力，在九月份已經結業了。
“Bento Ma Ma” is my favorite restaurant which is closed now. It is one of our cooperative shops. However, few people went there because of its inconvenient location. They closed their shop in September due to financial stress.
Q6. 你最喜歡西環的甚麼? What do you like most about Sai Wan?
在西環這個小小的區域可以看盡人生百態，這裡有富有的群體，也有不少基層家庭，十分多元和Complex。
In Sai Wan, I can taste the spectrum of life's experiences. There are the rich and poor in this diverse and complex community.
